State Secretariat of Culture - Timor-Leste

Staff of the Department of Libraries from the National Directorate of Museums and Libraries, together with public and school library staff, took part in a library traning course in Kupang, Indonesia, between 19 September and 1 October 2011.
The training course, for a total of 16 people, took place in the Provincial Library of Eastern Timor and it had the following subjects: Library Introduction and Promotion, Classification, Cataloguing and Public Service.
This event was officialy closed by the President of the Youth, Education and Sports Services of the Indonesian Province, Klemens Meba, accompanied by the National Director of Museums and Libraries of Timor-Leste, Abílio C. Silva, and by a representative of the Timor-Leste Consulate in Kupang.
