State Secretariat for Arts and Culture - Timor-Leste

Between 14 to 17 the Dili Cultural Centre – CCD (former- Mercado Municipal) willhost a Concert, International Conference and Design Fair, with the main purpose of launching the future Academy of Arts and Creative Industries of Timor-Leste.

This event, included in the program of the State Secretariat of Culture, aims at marking the 35th anniversary of the first Declaration of Independence of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, which took place on the 28th of November 1975.

Between the 22 and 19 of October 2010, Timor-Leste will be represented for the second time in Macao, in the Lusofonia Festival and Cultural Week of China and Portuguese Speaking Countries.

Timor-Leste will be present in the 2nd International Meeting of World Heritage of Portuguese Origins, which will take place in Coimbra, Portugal, between the 23 and 26 October 2010.

Sunday, 3 July (17:00 PM), at the President's Palace in Aitarak laran, there is a Dress Rehearsal of the show that will take place during the National Day of Timor-Leste at the Expo Shangai 2010.

Traditional ceremony of Kelbeli (manta ray), on the 29th of June 2010, which will take place in the village of Dair, suco Gugleur (Liquiçá district).

The Institute for Southeast Asian Studies and the Embassy of Portugal in Singapore will organise an international conference in Singapore and Melaka entitled Portuguese and Luso-Asian Legacies in Southeast Asia, 1511-2011.
